Selling Taiwanese industrial AI in Europe: the evidence a buying committee needs

Technical performance is one part of the decision. European industrial customers also need to understand implementation effort, operational responsibility and the limits of the proposed use.

Belief System · Analysis and practical guidance ·

Identify the people who must agree

An industrial AI purchase can involve production, IT, security, procurement, legal advisers and employee representatives where relevant. Do not assume that an enthusiastic innovation team speaks for every decision-maker. Map the questions each function must resolve. This provides the structure for useful content and meetings, rather than a single sales deck that tries to answer everything.

Show the baseline behind a performance claim

For a hypothetical visual-inspection system, explain what was measured, the conditions, the comparison baseline and the limits of transfer to another production line. Label simulated, pilot and operating results accurately. Obtain permission before naming a customer. A percentage improvement without a denominator or test context can create more doubt than a smaller, well-explained result.

Explain implementation as work, not magic

Describe the data preparation, integration, training, maintenance and review required from both parties. Identify who validates outputs and who can stop or override the system. The applicable AI role and obligations should be assessed by specialists using the current European framework. Communications should explain the resulting operating model rather than implying that the software removes all responsibility from the customer.

Address Taiwan–Europe coordination

Specify how technical questions travel from the European account team to Taiwan-based engineers, how urgent issues are handled and which languages are available. Do not promise round-the-clock support unless it exists. An honest escalation map and a named implementation lead may matter more than broad claims of global presence. Explain which work can be performed locally and which requires headquarters input.

Give the pilot a decision rule

Agree before the pilot what evidence will support expansion, revision or termination. Define the observation period, acceptable constraints and responsibility for reviewing results. The pilot announcement should not imply that a full contract has been awarded. At completion, a joint review can produce a publishable case only where both parties consent and the results can be substantiated.

Turn technical evidence into a coherent communications package

Prepare a buyer guide, implementation diagram, claims register, technical FAQ and spokesperson brief. Link public material to deeper documentation where appropriate. Review whether it reduces avoidable misunderstanding rather than measuring success only by lead volume. Belief System can organise the narrative and stakeholder preparation while engineers, legal advisers and the customer validate the technical and contractual substance.
