Let safety and technical assessment define the facts
Establish the affected products, markets, identifiers and validated customer instructions with specialists. Vehicle and component requirements may differ; appointed advisers determine the applicable processes and authority engagement. Do not infer the legal route from a general product-safety page. Communications needs a controlled factsheet and a clear procedure for revising it as evidence develops.
Find the people who need to act
Map manufacturers, importers, distributors, repair networks, fleet operators and owners as relevant. Determine who holds usable contact information and who is responsible for outreach. A media announcement is not proof that affected users have been reached. Plan multiple appropriate channels, keep records and identify groups that need additional support to understand or follow the instructions.
Make the customer notice usable
Use clear product identification, the reason for action, the validated instruction and the route to assistance. Avoid minimising language that conflicts with the safety assessment. Test the notice in the relevant languages and formats. The customer should not have to decode an investor statement to discover whether a product is affected or how to arrange the next step.
Align the service network with the promise
Before announcing a remedy, verify what the repair or replacement operation can deliver and which constraints must be explained. Give front-line staff a consistent script and escalation channel. In a hypothetical parts shortage, communicate the approved interim guidance and update process instead of inventing completion dates. Operational uncertainty should be managed openly at the appropriate level.
Coordinate listed-group and local communication
Investor relations and legal advisers assess Hong Kong disclosure implications; European specialists manage applicable local obligations. Maintain consistent facts while tailoring content to investors, customers and media. Do not speculate about final costs or responsibility before the evidence supports it. Design a handover process so that customer-facing updates do not stop when one continent ends its working day.
Demonstrate follow-through
Track unanswered questions, contact gaps and delivery of the announced remedy. Update public information when the affected scope changes and make corrections easy to find. A useful communications assignment includes a recall playbook, channel plan, multilingual notices, spokesperson preparation and review. Belief System supports this coordination alongside technical, legal and customer-service teams; it does not determine the recall itself.
