Choose the decision the event should advance
Define whether the priority is customer qualification, distributor discussion, technical partnership or recruitment. These goals require different materials and meetings. A single metric such as badge scans will not show progress on all of them. Build a short list of target audience questions before choosing the demonstration or press announcement.
Find the evidence behind the news angle
A new component, validated test, confirmed partnership or European support capability may provide a substantive angle. Simply attending the show usually does not. For example, a charging-equipment demonstration should explain the specific operating problem it addresses; Europe's infrastructure agenda provides context but is not proof that the exhibited solution has been adopted or approved.
Make the demonstration interpretable
Explain the conditions, limitations and difference between a prototype and a commercial product. Give technical journalists enough context to assess the claim. Avoid a polished stage demonstration whose implications cannot be substantiated. Where a customer or partner participates, agree the exact public scope and ensure that the spokesperson has authority to describe it.
Prepare Taiwan and European spokespeople differently
A headquarters executive may explain investment and product direction; a European technical lead may answer implementation and service questions. Both need consistent facts but not identical scripts. Prepare difficult questions about availability, quality, support and existing deployments. Provide a route for follow-up when a question requires evidence unavailable at the stand.
Plan what happens after the meeting
Capture the question, agreed next step, responsible owner and permission for appropriate follow-up. Separate journalist requests from commercial leads. A promised specification sheet or technical interview should be delivered within the agreed timeframe. Do not measure the event's value solely by immediate coverage if its purpose was a longer qualification process.
Commission a focused event communications package
Useful outputs include a newsworthiness assessment, evidence-backed press brief, demonstration script, spokesperson rehearsal and follow-up tracker. Review the quality of questions, relevant meetings and completed next steps.
