Describe the role in the value chain
State whether the company designs, manufactures, integrates or distributes the component, and which operations it controls. Clarify the relevant legal entity and production sites. A broad group presentation may obscure the specific capability the buyer is evaluating. Begin with the customer's application and the supplier's actual responsibility within it.
Prepare evidence at the right level
Organise technical specifications, validated performance, applicable certificates, quality processes and approved references. Describe the scope and validity of each certificate accurately. A general product-safety reference is useful context, but specialists must determine the component-specific requirements. Do not imply that public-relations material demonstrates technical qualification or that experience with one programme guarantees suitability for another.
Make European support tangible
Explain engineering access, language coverage, issue escalation and the location of any service or warehousing capability. Distinguish a distributor from an engineering subsidiary. If the company is still building its European team, present the transition honestly and identify who is responsible meanwhile. A named technical interface with a working escalation route can be more useful than a vague claim of local presence.
Protect customer confidentiality while showing experience
Where names cannot be used, describe a past engagement only to the extent authorised: type of component, task performed, scope and verified outcome. Do not create an anonymised case from a hypothetical example. If no publishable evidence is available, explain the evaluation process and offer controlled access to appropriate documentation instead of suggesting unconfirmed customer relationships.
Prepare a buyer-focused media strategy
Trade coverage should explain an actual engineering contribution, industrial development or demonstrable application. A press article is supporting context, not a substitute for supplier assessment. Brief technical spokespeople to answer within their remit and refer commercial or legal questions appropriately. Avoid treating every exhibition appearance as news without a substantive development.
Turn the pitch into a qualification journey
Useful deliverables include an evidence index, capability narrative, European support diagram, buyer FAQ and meeting preparation. Agree the next decision after the meeting: further technical review, a site visit or an approved test. Belief System can help organise this journey so that a Taiwanese supplier's expertise is understandable and assessable without exaggerating its credentials.
